Vintage CURTISS BABY RUTH BUTTERFINGER* Early Candy Store DISPLAY *Metal & Wood

Description

Offered for auction is an old Curtiss Candy Store Display.  It is almost 24" at its longest points and is 13 1/2" wide.  It stands 7 3/4" tall.  The display is terraced with 4 shelves for candy bars.  All the shelving is metal and the sides are wooden.  The advertising part has metal borders, but the wording itself is on a thick painted glossed heavy cardboard (I think that's what it is).
It looks to me like this originally had a bottom as there are three turn pieces that would have held it in.  I imagine it setting on the round bar and kept in place by the turn pieces.  Don't know, just guessing.
I tried to picture any particular imperfections.  There are a couple of pieces of wood missing off the back sides, a scrape on the rounded part of the Baby Ruth Ad, and a slight bend on the very top piece of metal.  Check out the photos.  This is solid and a fun piece.
