Vintage Spirit of Goodwill Victory Glass Airplane Candy Container1920s
This glass airplane candy container was made by Victory Glass Co to commemorate Charles Lindbergh's 1927 Goodwill Flying Tour. There used to be candy in the airplane.
I didn't try to screw off the cap as I didn't want to damage it. The red metal propeller still turns. The side of the airplane says "SPIRIT OF GOODWILL," and underneath one of the wings is "USA 3/4 OZ AVOR." The other wing had some damage at some point, and I can't read what it says.
See photos for the condition of this item. I have captured several images.
This is part of my 90-year-old father's estate. He was a mechanic for Eastern Airlines, and he was also in the Air Force. He loved collecting all types of antiques, including automotive, oil/gas, airline items, and MANY other types of collectibles.
If you are interested in his other items, please see the other items that I have posted. I will be adding more things from his estate almost daily. Please feel free to ask if you have questions. Though I don't have expertise in most of them, I'm happy to answer what I can!
